Sooty

Bird Pet Memorials ~ Sooty Sooty a bantam leghorn, hatched at school. The children thought I was hatching blackbirds! Sooty enjoyed her school career and joined in the singing cheeping away! She never mixed with her peers and happily adopted the cats on my small holding and lived with them in the barn sharing their food and the two tackrooms, one of which has a fire. Her favourite perch was just above the fire and on my shoulder supervising the daily chores. Much to the delight of the children she made her weekly trip to school. Sooty, a true character and a sadly missed friend.
